COMMUNICATION SUPPORT

Tools That Help Individuals Express Themselves

The Voice Options Program (VOP) helps individuals with speech or language disabilities access assistive communication technology at no cost. Communication challenges can impact daily life, relationships, education, and independence, making it harder for individuals to express their needs and connect with others. This program provides eligible participants with tools such as iPads or other approved devices equipped with speech-generating applications designed to support communication.

VOP is available to individuals of all ages and focuses on improving communication in everyday environments. Applicants can self-refer or be referred by a professional, making the program accessible to families, caregivers, and individuals seeking support. Availability may vary depending on grant funding, but the goal remains to expand access to communication tools that create greater independence and connection.
